Private lessons offer personalized, one-on-one instruction tailored to each student’s experience level, pace, and goals. Unlike group classes, students receive focused guidance, real-time feedback, and hands-on coaching throughout the session. This customized learning environment allows students to build skills faster, ask more questions, and gain confidence with direct professional support.
Please note: Selecting a private lesson and clicking “Request to Book” does not guarantee your reservation. All private lessons are requests only until approved and paid in full. Requests submitted within 48 hours of the desired date/time are unlikely to be approved due to scheduling and prep requirements. Please do not arrive unless you have received confirmation and payment approval.

Private Lesson Policies & Fee Disclosure
To ensure private lessons run smoothly and fairly for both the student and instructor, the following policies apply:
Deposit Requirement
A deposit equal to 50% of the lesson total or $125 (whichever is greater) is required to reserve your lesson. Your lesson is not considered booked until the deposit is received. Because this time is reserved specifically for you and materials are prepared in advance, deposits are non-refundable for any reason.
Rescheduling Policy
Private lessons may be rescheduled one time with at least 48 hours notice. Your original deposit will transfer to the new date. Additional reschedules will require a new deposit. Lessons canceled with less than 48 hours notice will forfeit the deposit.
No Refund Policy
Private lessons are non-refundable. Your scheduled time is reserved exclusively for you and materials are prepared in advance. Because this prevents other bookings from being accepted during that time, refunds cannot be issued.
Late Arrival Policy
Students arriving late will still end at their originally scheduled end time. Late arrival will reduce available instruction time, as the scheduled time block cannot be extended without additional fees due to other scheduled obligations.
Students are encouraged to arrive ready to begin at their scheduled start time to maximize their learning experience.
Extended Time Fee
If additional time is requested during the lesson or needed to complete techniques beyond the scheduled time, additional instruction may be added at a rate of $125 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments ($31.25 per increment) when scheduling allows. Additional time is not guaranteed and depends on schedule availability.
Travel Fee (If Applicable)
If a private lesson is requested at a student’s home, business, or other off-site location, a minimum $50 travel fee applies within a 20-mile radius of the studio. Locations beyond this distance will incur an additional $5 per mile. Travel fees are due with the deposit.
Materials & Preparation Policy
All materials are prepared specifically for your lesson. Because supplies are allocated and your reserved time prevents other bookings, missed lessons or cancellations cannot be refunded.
Skill Progress & Completion Expectations
Skill development varies from student to student. While every effort is made to help each student succeed, mastering techniques may require additional practice outside of the scheduled lesson time.
Completion of all techniques or projects depends on the amount of time booked and the student’s individual pace. Booking additional time allows for deeper instruction, more practice, and greater skill development.
Attendance Policy
Private lessons are designed as one-on-one instructional sessions. Only the registered student may attend unless otherwise approved in advance. Additional participants may require additional fees and additional time.
Commitment to Your Scheduled Lesson
Private lessons are reserved professional instructional appointments. Time, materials, and preparation are allocated specifically for you once your lesson is booked. Because of this, we encourage students to schedule lessons only when they are confident they can attend and fully commit to their reserved time.
